Inspired by the breath-taking splendor of the wild landscapes of Murchison Falls National Park and the history and culture of the Bunyoro region of Uganda, the Safari Lodge will amaze you with its allure and its unique location adjacent to one of the biggest natural reserves in Uganda. It comprises of individual Safari Cabins spread throughout 7 acres of bristling bushes on the banks of the streaming waters of the mighty River Nile.

All the lodge structures are made from an architectural balance of mud and wood, and the roof is thatched with handpicked grass from the rolling plains of the neighboring villages. The walls are plastered African style with mud and wattle with a contemporary twist. The lodge is tastefully decorated with rustic safari furnishings and fixtures handcrafted from carefully selected local and natural materials. ROOMS

The Safari Lodge has a variety of accommodations on offer. If you are looking to splurge there are four deluxe cottages, with the best views of the Nile, private veranda and en-suite bathroom.

However, if you are looking for an authentic safari experience at a smaller price, there are slightly cheaper cabins, which are less spacious but still include a private veranda, fantastic views and en-suite facilities.

It also offers two budget rooms in the main building which are basic, but allow you to enjoy everything else the lodge has to offer.

FACILITIES

The lodge has electricity and hot water available 24 hours a day. Laundry and turn down services, mosquito nets, and Wi-Fi.

Perched on the highest point of the riverbank, the thatched-roof bar and restaurant has a wonderful view and serves a blend of international and safari cuisine.

For breakfast, guests can sit on the river deck and observe the elephants who have come for an early morning drink or swim in the Nile River.

ACTIVITIES

There are plenty of excursions for guests to choose from, all easily accessed from the safari Lodge, due to its proximity to the Murchison Falls National Park’s center.

An early morning game drive or a boat cruise down the Nile are always a great option for wildlife viewing.

However, if you wish to do something a little more unusual, you can go fishing for Nile perch, hike to the top of the falls, or spend the day trekking in the Budongo Forest Reserve to see the chimpanzees.
